Love and Rockets

As I'm sure the majority of you know, Carrie and I travel quite a bit. We travel for fun, we travel for work, and occasionally we get to do both at the same time. In November, we found ourselves in just that spot.

I was sent to Huntsville, Alabama to work for one week, and I thought I'd take Carrie along with me. I had never been to Huntsville, and had no idea that located in Huntsville is the U.S. Space and Rocket Center and Space Camp, which just happened to be directly next to the hotel where we stayed.

The week was spent with me working during the day and Carrie and I eating and going to movies in the evening. We did spend some time driving around Huntsville to check out the sights, but let's be honest, it's not one of the "Must-See" locations on anyone's list and for good reason. One night we drove through the local Botanical Gardens which were all decorated with Christmas lights, that was nice!

What Carrie really wanted to do was check out the U.S. Space and Rocket Center and Space Camp, but the Center closed every day prior to me returning from the office. Finally on our last day in Huntsville, I decided to leave the office early so I could take Carrie to the Space and Rocket Center prior to dashing off to the airport.

It's always exciting to learn new things about our spouses. It's fun to find they have interests in things of which you never knew. Keeping this in mind, I just didn't expect what was in store for me, in taking Carrie to the U.S. Space and Rocket Center and Space Camp...

Here, Carrie could barely contain the joy which was boiling up inside. So close, yet being stopped from entering by her bossy husband, wanting a photo.

Finally, after passing through the mandatory museum, Carrie could release the excitement which she felt for all things "Rocket".
I truly treasure my wife, and now I know that she truly treasures Rockets.
