Seth surprised me with a weekend away for my birthday. He took me to Charlottesville, VA to stay at a resort. It was a wonderful and relaxing weekend. I love my AMAZING husband!!!
On Saturday, he surprised me with a Spa Day.

Early Saturday morning Seth woke me up to take me on a sunrise hot air balloon ride. It was awesome!!!
We visited Monticello, Thomas Jefferson's house. This man was amazing. He completely architected this house, and you would not believe some of the stuff he came up with.
We also visited AshLawn, James Monroe's house. It was smaller than Monticello, but no less wonderful.

Wow! Happy Birthday! It looks like you guys had so much fun. I have always wanted to do a hot air ballon ride, but am always too scared. And the place you stayed looks fabulous! Good job Seth!
Way to make me homesick you guys... not that I'm from Charlottesville, but it's pretty close to Fredericksburg and it is Virginia. Funny thing is, I've never been to those historical sights. I guess when you live somewhere you just live there and aren't concerned with sightseeing.

What a great birthday, Carrie. Looks like a blast. Brandon has promised me that someday he'll go on a hot air balloon ride with me. (Andrew's too afraid of heights!)
