OH MY GOSH. You are the first person I know who remembers Square 1! I used to watch it with my brother, and have very fond memories of it.
I loved Square 1 too! I watched it everyday after school, along with Where in the World is Carmen San Diego? All I have to say is "Do it Rockapella!" Things I loved about this list:
1)Krull
2)Meat on Stick
3)Labyrinth
4)Pogo sticks
Ok I don't know why...but when I was young I developed a HUGE crush on David Bowie and that was from his role in Labryinth. I know...scary...but I still think he is kind of hot.
But you do win some cool points for Boton Rice Candy. I love it too! I get it every year in my stocking from my parents.
And Shelley I admit I watched Carmen San Diego too!
Carmen San Diego rocks!!! I loved that show and the opening song was the best. I think I watched only so that I could sing it at the top of my lungs:)
The only thing scarier than David Bowie's hair in Labyrinth... are David Bowie's pants in Labyrinth.
... And the only thing scarier than David Bowie's pants in Labyrinth, is David Bowie's "Goblin King" song in Labyrinth.
Who's got the power of the Voodoo?
Voodoo?
Who do?
You do!
The power of the voodoo.
You know you love it! Does anyone own Labryinth? I say we get together and watch it one night!
Please include me in the Labyrinth movie night! Did you see that David Bowie made a little appearance in The Prestige? Not quite as scary as his goblin king scene, though.
You play the bagpipes? All these hidden talents we're discovering. Can you play while ballroom dancing? Now that would be a sight to see!
Why don't we just make it a double-feature, "Labyrinth" & "The Dark Crystal"?
As for piping and dancing at the same time... Of course!
Gotta be a triple header with Krull as the Grand Finale.
Count me in on that movie bonanza, and I'll even provide my copy of Labyrinth, unless Kelly destroyed it without my knowledge. I think she has also tried to rid me of Ladyhawke as well.
Seth - How did you survive as a kid on that TV diet? You and I have a lot in common, especially how we can be extremely critical of accomplished, professional authors as we both sit on the sidelines saying, "I'd like to write a book one day".
Thanks for tagging me. My responses are on my blog at mormonhusbands.blogspot.com
